Privacy Notice

What we collect

• Account information. If you register, we store your username, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store plain-text passwords.
• Content you submit. Reviews, menu suggestions, and favorites you save are stored so we can display them back to you and to other visitors.
• Location preference. The city you select is saved in a cookie on your own browser so the site remembers it between visits.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-S5WCYTCSVP) to understand aggregate usage — which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from. This data is anonymized and never tied to your account.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
• We don’t share your email with restaurants or advertisers.
• We don’t track you across other websites — our analytics are limited to VMenu itself.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: one for your sign-in session, one for your chosen city, and Google Analytics cookies. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Your reviews are public

Reviews are published under your username and are visible to everyone. Don’t include personal details (phone numbers, addresses) in a review that you wouldn’t want the whole internet to see.

Deleting your account

Email us from the address on your account and we’ll delete your account, your favorites, and your profile. Reviews you’ve written may be kept in anonymized form so restaurant ratings stay accurate — just ask if you’d like them removed too.
